In 2019, the Faculty of Biology student science conference received 60 scientific reports, from the students of 9 classes in the whole faculty. Among them, 7 reports were from the International Biology program, 18 from the Biotechnology program, 17 from the Biology Honor program, 18 from the standard Biology program. Out of 60 reports, 6 were in the field of General Biology / Biodiversity and 54 were in the field of Experimental Biology / Biotechnology
According to the regulations of the University, the reports were presented in two types: a certain number of reports (18 reports) were selected to be presented in the form of oral talks, while all reports were presented in the form of posters.
At the end of the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes for excellent reports. In each session, there were 01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, 03 Third Prizes, and 06 Consolation prizes. The awarded reports of this year’s conference have many new features in scientific content and indicate significant progresses of student research at FOB. The reported research works have great potential for application in biomedicine and agriculture.
The 2019 student science conference of Faculty of Biology finished with great success. The success of the conference shows the passion for scientific research of students of Faculty of Biology in particular and students of VNU University of Science in general.
