+ Applications of microorganisms in environmental treatment and energy regeneration (including biofuel production).

+ Microbial diversity and ecology in nature and in biotechnological processes.

+ Substances with biological activities from microorganisms.

+ Interaction and signaling mechanisms in microorganisms.

+ Electrochemical microorganisms and bioelectrochemical systems (microbial fuel cell – MFC, bioelectro-catalysts, …)
