Research activities at Faculty of Biology involve various key directions, including but not limited to the following:
– Biodiversity research and conservation, especially of the fauna and the flora of Vietnam;
– Systematics and taxonomy using traditional methods combined with molecular biology analyses;
– Ecological services, environmental protection and sustainable development;
– Environmental impact monitoring and assessment by using biological methods;
– Development of technologies for environmental pollution treatment by biological measures;
– Bioactive substances and their applications;
– Mechanisms of diseases at the molecular level and working mechanisms of anticancer, antioxidant and antimicrobial substances;
– Development of biological products for use in medicine, food production, agriculture and the production of multi functional microbial fertilizers
